Conducting a Job Search

Congratulations! You've chosen a good major and career path for your interests, personality, skills, values, and other attributes. You've taken advantage of learning opportunities to get firsthand experience in actual work settings. Now graduation is a few semesters, or maybe just a few months, ahead. How can you position yourself for an effective job search?

In addition to some of the basics you may have already done, including working on a resume, interviewing skills, etc., it's important to take steps before entering the job market to make yourself an impressive job seeker. Look over the helpful documents below and use them to give yourself the best possible opportunity to land a desirable job after graduation. As always, we encourage you to come in during walk-ins, to make an appointment, or to Ask a Career Counselor using the link in the navigation column to your left.
